You need to focus on your client, providing the best equipment and services they can afford. When you are asked to provide or recommend a Video Engineer, Director, or Technical Director you want someone you can count on, with the competency, experience and capabilities to deliver. Most Video Engineers and Controllers have a fundamental understanding of video systems and their intricacies. I have considerably more knowledge and understanding of systems set up and operation because I design and build Flight Packs, Mobile Units, and Studio Systems. I have an excellent understanding of video, audio, data, and intercom systems and workflows. I have a keen awareness of budgets and work within your parameters. Every Production is subject to change, and I easily adapt to the current project requirements with no fuss. I try to anticipate your client's needs and build out systems with redundancy and additional capability, budget permitting. Best of all if you require assistance or advice in designing a system for your client, I am a simple phone call away to provide information that fits your budget and production criteria. Most of all, I come prepared. I bring an assortment of components and cables that gives you complete support in the event of a last minute addition or the failure of a support component. You need someone with the experience and knowledge to bring a level of competency that ensures you excel. I have outstanding trouble shooting skills, not only in the video. audio, and intercom arena, but also in the computer and data realm. This allows me to integrate and correct issues that can be show stoppers. I am a team player and understand the production process can be difficult. You have to solve every problem within the budget and time allotted. You can delegate any technical burden on me and I will deliver the results you demand, efficiently and with no hassle. As a Video Engineer/Controller my painting skills are first rate, ensuring a great looking show. I am very conscious of the work flow and communicate directly with Post-Production to make sure the picture and recording formats are set to their exacting specifications for seamless integration. I understand budgets and can make the most of the equipment you choose. I know when to speak up and when to shut up. When you need someone to detail the technical benefits or disadvantages of a particular component I can give you rock solid advice based on experience and research. If I do not have the answers I will seek them out with vendors and manufacturers so you can speak with technical accuracy. If needed, I can assist you in the selection of the right devices to deliver the production sophistication you seek. Your project will be technically flawless and satisfy the Client's demands. I also am a fully qualified Technical Director for Grass Valley, Sony, Ross, BlackMagic, and Barco Switchers so I can provide Engineering Services during Set up and then be a Video Controller and Director/Technical Director during the show. This gives you a seamless personnel solution and reduce the overall cost of the show. |
